Merry Christmas to you all!

Friday, December 25th, 2009

We spend most of the day yesterday catching up with some desparate sleep. In the evening we were invited over at the Four Seasons Hotel for a Christmas dinner. It was great and a wonderful treat. It is great that this hotel is a non smoking facility. They even accept pets! That is pretty cool. Whenever we travel we always have to search for a pet-friendly place which is always a hassle. We enjoyed our time out as a parent and Sophie was behaving really really well. Of course in a way we wish to have more of those calming and romantic moments back somehow but whenever we see Sophie we know that in the end the sacrifice is all worth it. Romantic! A word that seemed to have gotten lost in our vocabulary for almost a year now. Haha. Running around pregnant with edema in your feet and carpa tunnel in your hands and crawling up and down the stairs in your house while trying to do some housework is pretty tough. And now with little Sophie around our daily schedule is pretty determined by her crying and feeding sessions. By the end of the day you are so exhausted that the word “Romance” seems to be just a million light years away….

We finally got…

a Christmas tree!! Yay! Call me crazy, but I am always looking forward to having a Christmas tree and yes, I enjoy it so much that I usually keep the tree up untill the easter holidays. I know. It’s odd. I usually water the tree and vacuum the needles away from the floor hoping, that it won’t become a skeleton by the time we reach the bunny season. I don’t think James will let me keep the tree until easter but then again. This is a fake tree! Pssst. Yes. I know. It’s all fake….

My first Korean BBQ in a long long time….

Sunday, December 13th, 2009

Wow. I can’t believe that I deprived myself from so many yummy dishes because of my pregnancy and now because of the fact that I am breastfeeding Sophie. This was the first Korean AYCE or All You Can Eat BBQ that I had in a long time. It was mainly because of the so called Banchan or side dishes, that I did not wanted to go and have Korean BBQ. Banchan are Korean side dishes that accompany practically every meal. You will see most of the time pickled food or all kinds of kimchi dishes. Because of my pregnancy I did not want to eat too many spicy dishes or dishes that had raw seafood in it such as some Kimchi dishes or even Sushi! The Korean BBQ that we had tasted was just soo good…

See for yourself…
